Former ten-year pro FMX rider turned Announcer, Head Judge, Event Promoter, Sport Organizer, Brand Builder, Web Developer, and E-Commerce Specialist.
Chuck turned pro in freestyle motocross and rode for 10 years, qualifying for his first X Games two years in and going on to make 9 X Games starts between the Summer, Winter and International X Games, plus a Best Trick gold medal in 2004, an Athlete of the Games honor, and an ESPY nomination. He picked up the mic as a live event announcer while he was still competing, and stayed in the sport after hanging up his riding gear — moving from judge to Head Judge, and now serving as Co-Sport Organizer for Moto X at the X Games and Head Judge at the Japan X Games. He now spends most of his time with the website and handling all orders as a co-owner at Canvas MX, a custom Motocross, MTB, and BMX gear brand.
Chuck's riding and story have shown up across freestyle motocross films like Chapter One, Revelation 199, Nitro Circus, and Moto XXX 5, the TV series M80, and documentaries including Camp Chuck. In 2005 he hosted Disney's Jet-X @ the X Games.
He's helped build two motocross brands from the ground up — helping launch and grow Motoped's Kickstarter and early sales, and now running the website, and online sales at Canvas MX, the custom gear company he co-owns.
Chuck co-owns Canvas MX, a custom Motocross, MTB, and BMX gear brand — fully custom-designed kit, dye-sublimated on high-quality fabric, plus team jackets, pit shirts, and bags.
